Packing light is essential if you are traveling on an Ireland golf tour vacation. Many golf tour groups will only spend a night or 2 in a single hotel before traveling to the next golfing destination. If you over-pack you may get stressed with having to carry all the excess luggage around.
Although you need to pack lightly, you still need to take all of your essentials including golf clubs. You can rent or buy golf clubs in Ireland, but it will cost a lot more than other places. If you travel to Ireland to golf on some of the famous courses, then you might as well take any advantages you can get by golfing with your own clubs. Read more info…

Brendan Conneely is a man on a mission — to play every golf course in Ireland. To date he has ticked 407 off his list — the most recent addition was Dun Laoghaire last Friday.
This is a marathon that has been in progress for almost 35 years, but one which really accelerated and became a personal challenge in the last decade. Brendan, from Inverin in Connemara, lives in Gorey and retired last December from his job as a teacher at Carnew VS.
He is a former member of Connemara, Coolattin, and Courtown, and now plays off a 22 handicap on a distance membership out of Kilrush.
His lowest, achieved when he was a regular on teams at Courtown, was 12 handicap. Now he plays for fun and to complete his personal quest.
