WWE Opinion: Former WWE Diva Chyna Wants to Return; Please Shut the Hell Up

Former WWE Women’s Champion and Intercontinental champion Chyna has resurfaced in wrestling headlines.  The once-upon-a-time megastar has been releasing some pent-up frustration on how things ended with her and former boyfriend Triple H, and eventually with the WWE.

With the WWE Diva-turned porn star seeking closure with the company that put her on the map, Chyna admitted to Howard Stern that she and her lawyers wrote a formal letter to Vince McMahon inquiring about a possible return to the WWE.

The professionally drawn up letter is a nice touch rarely seen from former professional wrestlers; however, the WWE has since declined to do business with the woman formerly known as the ninth wonder of the world.

Never one to be told what to do by a man, let alone a publicly traded company, Chyna followed up her sentiments of nostalgia with clamoring for a WWE return

Chyna’s desire to return to the addicting pro wrestling spotlight that only the WWE provides is more than understandable.  Suffice to say, the roar of a sellout crowd inside stadiums in excess of 70,000 fans is simply something one won’t get from sitting on Dylan Ryder’s face.

For years, the current star of Vivid Video’s Backdoor to Chyna was undoubtedly WWE’s top female attraction, oftentimes outperforming her male counterparts in the popularity department.  During the WWE’s over-the-top attitude era, Chyna was one of a handful of names that established the WWE as must-see TV come Monday nights during the late ’90s and into the early 2000s.

However, the influx of a TV-PG environment in the world wide leader deals a considerable blow to any chance of a Chyna-WWE reunion tour.  The attitude-era star can now be found toiling in pornographic films, and while there is very little wrong with that, no family-friendly television product will dare associate themselves with a noted adult film star.

And while Chyna did mention that she sought a WWE return prior to agreeing to shoot her first professional pornographic film, she had already gained great infamy in 2004 with her graphic adult DVD series alongside former WWE costar Sean “X-Pac” Waltman entitled 1 Night in Chyna.  Chyna’s successful pornographic debut was followed by a sequel entitled Another Night in Chyna.

Rather than realize the unlikelihood of being in the WWE amid past indiscretions, Chyna has since chosen to publicly criticize Triple H for what she feels was dishonesty from the current WWE COO while the two dated years ago.

In 2004, Chyna filmed an amateur pornographic film with former WWE costar Sean Waltman.

Browns: Hillis reinjures hamstring; teammate calls him a ‘different guy’ in report

Teammates are starting to turn on Peyton Hillis, according to a Yahoo! report, and that’s on top of physical ailments that have put Hillis’ chances of playing against the Texans on Sunday in jeopardy.

Hillis, dressed in sweatpants and shells as is typical of a Friday practice, ran a play up the middle and before completing it pulled up in obvious pain after reinjuring his left hamstring. He slammed the ball to the ground and flung his helmet skidding across the field. He bent over at the waist with his hands on his knees until a trainer walked over to assist him.

Hillis underwent an MRI and returned to the Browns’ training facility in the afternoon. Read more info…

Horak, Kiprusoff lead Flames past Blues, 3-1

CALGARY, Alberta—Roman Horak’s youthful exuberance seems to be rubbing off on the rest of the Calgary Flames.

The 20-year-old rookie center had a goal and an assist, and Miikka Kiprusoff made 28 saves in the Flames’ 3-1 victory over the St. Louis Blues on Friday night.

It was the second straight two-point game for Horak, who scored his first NHL goal Wednesday night in a 4-2 victory over Colorado.

“With every point and when you’re getting more ice time, that gives you more confidence,” said Horak, who played the past three seasons with the Chilliwack Bruins of the Western Hockey League.

Horak was a plus-two and logged 17:39 in ice time Friday.

“Hockey is all about having that confidence so it feels great when you’re out there and the coach trusts you to put you out there,” Horak said.

Horak is five years younger than the second-youngest player on the active roster, 25-year-old defenseman Chris Butler.

“He brings a lot of energy. H

A silver lining for some in NBA’s costly lockout

NEW YORK – Number crunchers have come up with an unexpected conclusion about the National Basketball Association’s decision to cut short its season: There may actually be a few economic winners.

As NBA owners and players broke off talks this week, chances increased that the league will soon be forced to cancel more games, if not the entire season. Already, it has scrapped the preseason and the first two weeks of the regular season, frustrating fans from Los Angeles to Miami.

That’s bad news for arena employees, TV networks and restaurants and small businesses that rely on the games to bring in customers.

But for those fans who spend a collective $170 million a year to buy season tickets to NBA games, there’s a silver lining to the lockout — albeit a thin one.

New York Knicks season ticketholders, for instance, can receive a refund on any missed games, plus a 1 percent annual interest payment for money in their account with the team.
