Gorges had a goal and six assists in 36 games last season. He had 18 penalty minutes and averaged 21:10 seconds of ice time per game. The 26-year-old defenseman, who has played with Montreal for six seasons, sustained a season-ending injury to his right knee on Dec. 26 at Long Island.

“Josh is recovering extremely well,” Canadiens general manager Pierre Gauthier said. “We look forward to seeing him at training camp.”

NFL labor: Players’ committee to meet Monday

NEW YORK (AP) — A vote on a settlement to the lockout is what every NFL fan wants. Nobody is sure when that might happen.

The players’ executive committee will meet Monday in Washington after lawyers have worked through the weekend on issues that are holding up an agreement with the owners. Several people with knowledge of the meeting have told The Associated Press that no vote to recommend a deal is certain Monday.

Delaware Bankruptcy Judge Kevin Gross rejected the team’s choice, a loan from a hedge fund unit of JPMorgan Chase & Co.

WWE: Triple H’s Return Gives Raw the Figurehead It Desperately Needs

When your only figurehead is a laptop, you’re in big trouble.

The Raw brand has been subjected to the ridiculousness of an Anonymous General Manager, who rules the show from an undisclosed location. He (or she), will send an e-mail to the computer, which goes off in the arena, immediately leading to boos.

It is one of the worst angles in WWE history, and it has gone on for months, frustrating fans around the world. When Triple H’s music went off on Monday night, and when he assumed control of the day-to-day operations, he might as well have smashed the lap top with a sledgehammer.

The Game is now the face of the Raw brand, and he is going to put his stamp on the way the show runs and conducts business.
